British Colonel Gorget Patches were introduced during the Boer War, worn on the collar to distinguish Senior Officers. Made of wool with a strip of red braid down the centre secured by an oxidized brass button, with silk lining on the back. Excellent reproduction 8.5 cm length x 4 cm width, brass button 1.5 cm.
